Introduction to Off-Campus Living is an online Blackboard course that educates students on how to be a good tenant and neighbor. Students, who complete the course and pass the final test with a 90 percent or better, will receive 30% off of one month’s rent from participating landlords. This “preferred tenant” program has been largely successful at universities across the nation. The Access to Alcohol Action Team, composed of MUPD, Columbia Police, Alcohol Control, campus judicial services, and university employees, have endorsed this course and encourage students and landlords to participate. We hope that you will consider this program.
